Page students have gone on to attend every competitive primary school in the greater Los Angeles area over the past 114 years, however, we’re most proud of the fact that our students leave us as happy, independent, and engaged learners ready to take on the world.

a well-rounded experience with a variety of advantages
At Page, we want all children to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically by playing, exploring, and learning with others in a nurturing environment. We’ve been educating children for over 114 years using a blended philosophy, which pulls themes from some of the most well-recognized ideologies in early childhood education. Our program is:
Our academic program is phonics-based and utilizes the ZooPhonics© curriculum. In addition to letters and letter sounds, our students work on pre-writing, pre-math skills, and pre-reading skills. STEM activities are also used in partnership with our core curriculum to include activities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.
Throughout the day, students have designated time to choose lessons that are of interest to them in the areas of practical life, sensory/tactile, culture, and the arts. This self-directed time encourages children to develop a sense of independence and confidence, while also exploring their natural curiosity and the interests unique to them as learners.
Your child’s education was meant to be fun, joyful, creative and inspiring. That’s why our students participate in hands-on, play-based activities that incorporate gardening, culinary, yoga and meditation themes, and even take part in tending to our butterfly garden and tortoise habit!
a legacy of excellence in education
Page Junior Academy is the early childhood learning component of Page Academy, a private K-8th school founded in Los Angeles by Robert and Della Page Gibbs in the year 1908. Today, the Page schools are fourth-generation family managed by the great-great granddaughter of Robert and Della, Kristin Vaughan Dickson, M.Ed. The Page family legacy has endured for 114 years because of their commitment to creating positive and nurturing learning environments that set the stage for extraordinary learning experiences for children. Kristin is a Page Academy graduate and mother to two current Page Academy students.
